THE WORLD WE LIVE IN

As if the world wasn't bad enough my friend and boss of the past sixteen years, Rufus Church, was found murdered today. They found him at Ozark Dodge when they opened for business.

Hug the people you love because you never know what is going to happen.

Bye for now,
Shane

RAINY DAY

Not much happening on the Nelson front, just watching my 401K turn into a 101K. The economy is hurting all of us and especially the people in the auto and home industries. Now would be a good time to be in the military or education where your income would be somewhat recession proof. Oh well at least I still have my dog.

Three questions:

1) Would you rather have a 12, 16, 20, 28 or .410?

2) What have you given up since the economy tanked?

3) How many friends do you still have from high school?

Bye for now,
Shane

SPORTING CLAYS

Lately some friends of mine and I have been shooting clays. A friend bought a double thrower and we have been using it at another friend's house. What a blast! You can throw doubles, nested pairs, rabbits, teals, chondels, etc. It will do just about anything and the trapper has a seat to sit on and they are easy to cock because
it automatically comes back to 3/4 cock after it throws the clay. The only problem with it is that it is so easy and so much fun that you really go through the shells.

I also went down to Ozark Shooters for the first time and tried one of their sporting clays courses. It was a really good time. They send someone with you and they walk you through everything. If you are feeling cocky about your shooting just go down there and it will bring you back to earth. They also have trap, wobble trap and skeet at affordable prices.

Vegas was fun and we were lucky enough to spend time with Carrie's grandmother and her super-sweet Aunt Paula.

Three questions:

1. Did you know you can fly to Las Vegas from $29?

2. Did you know that Franklin is my favorite Peanuts character?

2. Boyt or Filson?

Bye for now,
Shane
