HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOPHIA!

The love of my life turns four today. Hard to believe she is already that old. If you want to change you life just have a child.

Three questions:

1) Did you know Sophia wanted a "bow-shooter" for her birthday?

2) Did you know we had another party at Chuck E Cheese?

3) Did you know Sophia loves animals, flashlights and building fires?

Bye for now,

TURNS OUT CALE IS PRETTY GOOD

The big shootout happened last night and it turns out Cale is pretty good. A bunch of Bud's relatives were hogging the 3D range so we ended up shooting the Techno Hunt range. It is a computer simulation that has several different hunts you can pick. The one we hunted was whitetail, mule deer, elk, turkey, ram and a few others I did not know what they were. We had a good time and Cale turned it on late to come back and win. The scoring on this range is different than on the 3D so I re-calculated my predictions and they are listed here. Break down is as follows: 3D prediction, re-calculated prediction because of difference in scoring and actual score.

Doug 310 258 214 not real close

Cale 275 229 228 pretty close on that one

Shane 240 199 196 pretty close again

Seth 220 183 178 not too far off on that one

Cale is the big winner and confirms his redneck status!

Three questions:

1) What is your favorite brand of flashlight? (Surefire)

2) Do you eat wild game? (Yes)

3) Did you know practice for the alumni game starts in two weeks? (Yes)

Shane

HOW GOOD IS CALE?

In my lifetime I have met two great bowhunters, Cale Mc and Doug Bowen. On Wednesday they will square off in the great 3D shoot of 2009. Also on the card will be myself and Jeff "Low and Left" Nelson. The buildup has already began, which is a good thing because it happens tomorrow! Tickets are on sale at Ticketmaster.com and you can also purchase them at Archery Quest in Springfield.

Three questions:

1) Heath or Skor?(Heath)

2) Expandable or fixed?(Expandable)

3) What American made car would you drive if you had your pick?(Jeep GC SRT8)

EYES, EARS AND THROAT

Not much happening in the Nelson area. Business seems to be a little better, of course it could not have been much worse. Sunday Seth and I went out to Ritter to shoot some arrows at stuff. The range was very nice and it was not even the nice one because we used the wrong one. I guess the one we used was the scrappy one and the one farther down in the park is the Hogan Edition. In March McAnutt said he would show me the ropes on a 3D shoot.

Three questions:

1. When was the last time you had your eyes checked? Today for me.

2. Have you ever found a stray hair in your ear? For me, yes.

3. Will you let your voice be heard and vote in Springfield today? For me, no I do not live in Springfield.

Bye for now,
Shane
